Role

• As the Rubber Liner, you will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of the reparation, installation, maintenance and repair of rubber lining projects, including preparation of surfaces, selection and application of materials, within the workshop and across a diverse range of customer sites.

Duties & Requirements

• Applies rubber linings to pipes, spools, launders, agitator blades, chutes tanks, valves, pipes, hoppers and similar articles.

• Recognises and identifies imperfections and problem areas on rubber lining projects, making recommendations and and carrying out repairs mitigate the risk of issues.

• Interprets technical drawings and diagrams, ensuring delivery of products and service in line with specifications and Australian standards.

Selects, prepares, packages, labels and loads materials and equipment required to complete work activities

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant experience in a similar role

• Working at Heights qualification (desired)

• Enter and Work in Confined Spaces qualification (desired)

• C Class Driver's Licence

• Have experience in painting transport equipment.

• Have experience working with 2 Pac Paints

• Be able to understand and work to a manufacturing schedule

• Be competent in the use of hand and air tools

• Be self-starting and well organised

• Contribute to a safe, friendly and "Can Do" work environment

• Trade qualifications as a Spray Painter (Industrial) with at least 5 years' experience.

• Forklift ticket (advantageous)

• Experience with overhead Cranes in a workshop environment (advantageous).

MUST have at least 5 years experience (MINIMUM)

• Demonstrated ability to work and maintain safety protocols

• Qualified - Mechanical and maintenance fitter

• Extensive experience in a related Manufacturing maintenance environment - Preferably oil/gas.

• Demonstrated ability to dismantle and refurbish reciprocating pumps, compressors and rotary machines.

• Demonstrated knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

• Experience with valves, pressure regulators, check valves and similar equipment

• Demonstrated ability to perform function checks and calibration of all pressure measurement/control equipment

• Must be a good team player

MUST have at least 5 years experience (MINIMUM)

• Trade qualifications or welding tickets

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

• Experience in TIG/FCAW welding

• Heavy industrial experience.

• Bridge and Gantry Ticket desired but not essential

• High levels of attention to detail.

• Excellent Communication skills

• Great time management skills.

• The ability to work within a team and unsupervised.

• Willing to work afternoon shift if required

• Can read engineering/isometric drawings

MUST have at least 5 years experience (MINIMUM)

• Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications.

• Perform the welding of steel components in all positions

• Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures

• Perform welding techniques such as, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW, TIG

• Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required

MUST have at least 5 years experience (MINIMUM)

• Perform welding techniques such as, MMAW, FCAW, MIG

• Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components

• Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required

• You'll need to:

• Run the machine in the best and most efficient way;

• Ensure that daily production orders are met by following job description sheets and programs;

• Have the ability to effectively manage priorities and meet targets;

• Have solid experience in some form of NC/CNC machine operation is essential;

• Have to be able to read and work with technical drawings;

• Have the ability to manage priorities efficiently in a time critical environment;

• Have attention to detail and follow the quality procedure in place;

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.

• Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management.

• Contribute to development of work methods and rolling short term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work.

• Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager.

• Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementing of final designs.

• Ensure contractual mechanisms of subcontractors ¬ Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to build a risk management culture.

• Select, train and develop leading hands and ensure the observance of safety, other work standards and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.

• Maintain effective consultation with various workers' representatives and committees on industrial and safety subjects handling issues as they arise and referring major issues.
